What is Grace?

Why don't I deserve God's grace?

Why do I need God's grace?

Grace is God extending to you the opposite of what you deserve. Why do I not deserve God's Grace?  Why then do I need God's grace?

The answer to both of those questions is sin.  So what is sin?  Sin is anything that establishes your will above God's. The Bible tell that our sin has earned God's wrath. So, the opposite of what you deserve is Grace.

God's grace towards humanity was made evident when Jesus Christ, who is God, became a man. Jesus Christ then lived a life without sin, so that He could willingly take your punishment upon Himself. When Jesus died on the cross, God's wrath-which you deserved-was poured out on Jesus who was without sin, and He was crushed for our iniquities.

Jesus Christ then having satisfied the price of sin rose again providing for us - grace.

This was all part of God's plan of grace, to offer salvation to all people. For while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.

Because of God's holiness all sin must be punished. But because of God's grace, He has provided The one way for your sins to be paid for, through Jesus Christ.

Since this is grace, what must I do to receive God's grace?

The answer - Faith
